Jacob is not only crawling, he is pulling up. Last week, he climbed up the bottom step and was on his way to the 2nd before I caught him. And we had to lower his crib because he now stands up in it and peaks out the top when he's done sleeping.
Since Lily graduated into the 2-year-old story time class at the library, she is no longer the only child up running around the whole time. Which makes Mama MUCH happier.(Though she is still running around the MOST, but that's Lily for you.)
Ryan is currently building our deck. Yes, a huge beautiful DECK. I am way behind posting pictures, but let me tell you it's WONDERFUL and much bigger than it looked on paper. He's doing an awesome job (would you expect any less?) and we're looking forward to Jake's birthday party in a few weeks.
Speaking of which, I can't believe my cuddly little buddy will be 1 so soon...
I have an obsession with America's Next Top Model lately. Every quiet moment to myself, all I want to do is sit on my butt and watch the latest episode we have recorded. I am currently catching up on season #11 (never saw it) while waiting for new episodes of the current season (#12) to come out each week. So sad London went home...
So many people have told me lately that they are finally understanding what Lily is saying and that she is talking so much more. It's so neat being able to more fully glimpse what's going on in that clever brain of hers!
We started Jacob on milk early. I thought we would be nursing well into toddlerhood, but the well is running dry! There is seriously little coming out anymore, and now he nurses mostly for comfort, not nutrition. And since he HATED the taste of formula (and it made him throw up), we just decided to start him on milk. He seems to be enjoying it and has had no adverse reactions.
Ryan has off the week of June 8th. After much deliberation, we've decided to take a HOME vacation. We've never done this before, and I'm a little hesitant to believe that NO HOUSEWORK will be involved, but we're going to try our best. We may spend a few days at Willow Valley and will take lots of day trips. We've talked about hiking the Delaware Water Gap to Sunfish Pond, going to the Turtleback Zoo (thanks for the year-long membership, mom!), spending a day at home at the local lake or park, etc.
Anybody have any good ideas for fun daytrips to take with kids? Please leave a comment and tell us! We could use ideas.
(OK, gotta go...both kids are sleeping and ANTM is calling!)

Just a thought, Mama. When I was down to weaning Andrew and the well ran dry, it was because I was pregnant with Joshua. Gave up for good on a Tuesday and had a positive pregnancy test the next Monday. Something to think about...
Yay on the deck! And yay Jacob!!! I can't believe he is almost 1 either...I ordered something for him, I hope it arrives on time!
And :-O to the above comment...hmmmm...lol...
Oh, and also?? I love watching ANTM on Youtube. I am so hearing you!!! hehehe!
We might be starting milk a little early too. Josiah also mostly nurses for comfort now because I had to start supplementing recently. He fought and fought the bottle but finally realized it is filling him up so he doesn't fight it as much anymore.
Sorry about your supply running low (I was a bit disappointed about mine running low) and that formula made Jacob throw up, bu glad he is old enough to have regular milk and is having no problems with it! :)
